VIBE: The 2025 Summer Playlist
I COULD spend my summer lost in nostalgia, listening to the music of the past, the songs that defined my childhood and adolescence, because that's what happens as you get older. You find some solace in escaping to the sounds of your youth, unlocking memories that feel like a warm blanket. This phenomenon is typically known as "music paralysis," and it tends to happen in your 30s, when you stop discovering new music.
But I prefer to stay present, and that includes maintaining my desire to find new music that I can enjoy in the Now – songs that can help accentuate and mark new memories as I move into (gulp) middle age.
That said, below is yet another one of my quarterly playlists that will hopefully help you stay present, too. This is what I'll be enjoying for the next three months of sunscreen and swim trunks. (*And as always: be sure to save this to your library as I'll be updating this throughout the rest of the month.)
