RAYE's "Click Clack Symphony" is One of the Best Music Videos of 2026
The state of music videos has irrefutably experienced a decline in quality and creativity since the 2000s, and a lot can be attributed to it (shrinking budgets, the TikTokification of entertainment at large, etc.).
But I'm not here to argue my case nor unleash a thesis on that matter.
I'm here to share the music video for Raye's mesmerizing "Click Clack Symphony," a triumphant production that's a perfect marriage between insightful musical artistry and keen visual direction.
The song is a gorgeous, operatic meditation on depression and the power of female friendship. It plays with the rules of standard song structure while letting film score maestro Hans Zimmer unleash his orchestrations that include soaring strings and a vibe that is nothing short of cinematic.
But it's the music video, brilliantly helmed by industry vet Dave Meyers, that is an outstanding accomplishment deserving of all the recognition it gets. Lush art direction, unexpected choreography, jaw-dropping metaphors, and a climactic finish that could rival the latest Wuthering Heights.
